Position Type: Full-Time | Locum | CRNA

Overview

A healthcare facility in Detroit, MI is seeking a Board-Certified CRNA to join their anesthesia care team on a locum basis. This is a supervised practice model offering a collaborative environment, modern facilities, and a wide range of surgical case exposure.

Practice Highlights

  • Coverage begins upon completion of credentialing

  • Supervision model with MDA oversight

  • Documentation system: Cerner

  • Typical surgical cases per day: 7–20 (depending on type)

  • Pain management cases: 0–10 per day

  • OR team: Surgeon, CRNA, supervising MDA, RN, scrub tech, and occasionally a first assist or resident

  • Patient demographics: Pediatric through geriatric (excluding neonates)

Common Case Types & Procedures

  • General surgery (adult & pediatric)

  • IV sedation for plastic surgery

  • Robotic surgery

  • ENT

  • Orthopedic

  • Podiatry

Candidate Requirements

  • Board Certified CRNA (NBCRNA required)

  • Active Michigan medical license (required)

  • ACLS & BLS (American Heart Association)

  • DEA & CSR (required)

  • Clean background and credentialing record

Schedule & Coverage

  • Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • 3-month contract with option to extend

  • Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60–120 days
