CRNA - CRNA Locum Job in Pittsburgh, PA

Position: Locum Tenens Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) — 3 Full-Time FTEs Needed

Start Date: ASAP Upon Credentialing (July – Ongoing)

Credentialing Timeline: 3–4 Months (Updated policy: Files must clear 1–2 committee meetings; temporary privileges are no longer issued without committee review)

Schedule & Work Shift Options

• Workload Standard: Full-time commitment (36–40 hours per week schedule combinations); 10-hour shifts are strictly not accepted.
• Approved Full-Time Shift Combinations:
  • 2 x 14-Hour Shifts + 1 x 12-Hour Shift
  • 2 x 12-Hour Shifts + 1 x 16-Hour Shift
  • 2 x 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (8.5h) + 2 x 12-Hour Shifts
  • 2 x 16-Hour Shifts + 1 x 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM Shift
• Approved Individual Shift Slots: 12-Hour Days (starting later, e.g., 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM), 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, as well as 14-Hour and 16-Hour shifts.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36–38 hours per week guaranteed for full-time schedule commitments.

Clinical Scope & Care Model

• Care Model: Medical Direction model (1:3 Care Team Ratio) supported by Supervising Anesthesiologists (MDs).
• Required Case Mix (Must be capable of performing ALL case types):
• General & Surgical: General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Thoracic, Vascular, Urology, Endoscopy (GI), Electrophysiology (EP), Transplants.
• High-Acuity Specialty: Level 1 Trauma, Neurosurgery (including craniotomies), Open Heart Cardiac.
• Pediatric Scope: Healthy Pediatrics (10+ months, outpatient procedures such as tongue ties, tonsillectomies, etc.).

Qualifications & Mandatory Requirements

• Experience Requirement: Minimum 5 years of CRNA clinical experience required for candidate presentation.
• Licensure: Active Pennsylvania RN/APRN State License required (PA is an RN-only state; Compact RN licenses are not accepted). Candidates must fulfill PA Child Abuse Clearance requirements.
• Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  
• Local Candidate Exception: Candidates residing within 50 miles are eligible for locum submission.
