Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital + Ambulatory Surgery Center
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Length: 3-month initial term, with strong intent to convert to permanent

Opportunity Highlights:

This is a locum-to-perm position—an extended working interview. The facility is looking for candidates who are genuinely open to permanent employment pending mutual fit. You'll be joining a supportive, long-standing anesthesia team with an excellent collaborative culture between CRNAs and MDs. Many providers (including past locums) stay long-term.

Schedule & Coverage Details:

  • Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (30-minute lunch)

  • Shifts Available: 8-hour shifts only – no 10s or 12s

  • Call & Weekends: None

  • Minimum Commitment: Full-time preferred, but will consider providers available for at least 1 full M–F week/month

Practice Details:

  • Practice Setting: Hospital + Surgery Center

  • Volume: ~60 cases/day across both settings

  • Team Structure: 3 CRNAs per MD, Care Team Model

  • Support Staff: MDs and Anesthesia Techs (techs assist with setup for larger cases)

  • Patient Population: All ages (healthy peds only), no PICU/NICU involvement

  • Procedures:

    • Ortho, neuro, trauma (Level II), ENT, general surgery, OB, endoscopy, plastics, urology

    • No cardiac or transplant (MDs handle blocks and cardiac cases)

  • EMR: Allscripts (Epic coming in 2026)

  • Hospital Size: 140 beds, 9 ORs

Requirements:

  • Certification: NBCRNA required

  • License: Active IL license preferred; open to licensing candidates

    • Note: IL licensure can take ~3 months, with credentialing starting 6–8 weeks after license issues

    • Licensing candidates should be prepared for a 5–6 month onboarding process

  • Experience: Open to new grads

  • Flexibility: Providers must be specific about restrictions—scheduling may be impacted if scope is limited

  • Credentialing Timeframe: 6–8 weeks once full file is submitted

  • Interview Process: Zoom
