Position Type: Locum | CRNA – Anesthesia

Overview

A Level II Trauma Center in Jackson, MI is seeking a Board Certified CRNA to provide anesthesia care for a variety of surgical cases. The CRNA will work a consistent 4x10 schedule with no call responsibilities, in a collaborative, hospital-based environment.

Practice Highlights

  • Administer anesthesia for general surgical procedures (adult & pediatric)

  • Provide anesthesia for neurosurgical cases with pre- and post-procedure neurological management

  • Perform spinal anesthesia and local infiltration techniques as needed

  • Manage ventilation and monitor respiratory status throughout procedures

  • Deliver anesthesia under direct supervision within a team-based model

  • Maintain continuous patient monitoring across perioperative phases (pre-op, intra-op, post-op)

  • Documentation system: Epic EMR

  • Schedule: Four (4) 10-hour shifts per week; no on-call duties

  • Setting: Hospital-based, Level II Trauma Center

  • Case volume: ~50 surgical cases per day across multiple ORs with rotating assignments

  • Respond to emergencies and perform airway management, including intubations

Candidate Requirements

  • Board Certified CRNA (NBCRNA) – Required

  • Active Michigan license – Required

  • Clean background – Required

  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS (through AHA) – Required

  • Minimum 1 year of CRNA experience – Required

Schedule & Coverage

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week

  • No on-call responsibilities

  • Credentialing timeframe: [Not specified – typically 60–90 days]
