Details:
Locums provider must have
Current license as a registered professional nurse
Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
Open to candidates who need to obtain state license
Schedule is 10 hr shifts, no call, no weeknights or weekends, no overtime.
MDs doing own cases and supervising CRNAs, ratio of 4 to 1.
Number of Anesthesia Rooms: 4
Heavy ortho, endoscopy, urology, general surgery. Some adult ENT.
Responsibilities
Pre-anesthesia assessment
Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of the patient s physiological condition
Performance of clinical intervention as needed
