We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join a high-functioning anesthesia care team in a hospital-based setting. This role offers an opportunity to practice with a high degree of autonomy while being part of a supportive team of anesthesiologists, nurses, and surgeons. The ideal candidate is committed to patient-centered care, has a strong foundation in regional and general anesthesia, and thrives in a diverse surgical environment.

Job Responsibilities

- Administer anesthesia for a broad range of surgical procedures, including general surgery, urology, ENT (including pediatrics), OB/Gyn, orthopedics, podiatry, vascular/thoracic, and endoscopy.
- Provide anesthesia services in both operating room and non-OR settings, including cath lab, EP lab, MRI, interventional radiology, and procedural sedation areas.
- Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and develop anesthesia care plans.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia to ensure safety and comfort.
- Assist with emergency airway management and respond to hospital-wide emergencies when needed.
- Collaborate effectively with anesthesiologists and the surgical team, communicating clearly and contributing to high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), with active national certification from the NBCRNA.
- Active and unrestricted Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license.
- Current ACLS and BLS certification; PALS preferred for pediatric cases.
- Proficient in administering a variety of anesthetic techniques, including general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care.
- DEA license required or ability to obtain if prescriptive authority is applicable.
* Experience in thoracic and regional procedures strongly preferred.

Working Hours

Scheduled surgeries typically begin at 7:30 AM; elective cases generally not scheduled past 5:00 PM, with most concluding by 3:00 PM.

- Strong clinical decision-making and patient assessment abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across departments.
- Skilled in IV placement, regional blocks, and airway management.
- Ability to manage complex cases and adapt in high-acuity or emergency settings.
