Exciting Opportunity for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) – Anesthesia Locum Position in Cadillac, MI

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide anesthesia care for approximately 25 surgical cases daily, including orthopedics, general surgery, scopes, dental, and urology.
  • Manage regional blocks and obstetric anesthesia, demonstrating advanced clinical skills.
  • Work independently without supervision, ensuring high standards of patient safety and comfort.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays, providing coverage as scheduled.
  • Utilize Plexus EMR for documenting procedures accurately.
  • Adapt to a variety of case types and patient demographics, from pediatric to geriatric.

Required Skills:
  • Valid Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification.
  • Proven experience with regional anesthesia blocks and obstetric anesthesia.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating sound clinical judgment.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with OR staff and healthcare team.
  • Flexibility to participate in call rotations during weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience in trauma centers or Level 3 trauma designation settings.
  • Familiarity with multiple EMR systems beyond Plexus.
  • Additional certifications such as PALS or experience in outpatient procedures.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia.
  • Minimum 2 years of CRNA experience, especially in acute care or surgical settings.
  • Knowledge of anesthesia practices in diverse surgical disciplines.

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to participate in a call rotation, including overnight and weekend shifts.
  • Must hold current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, day shifts to be determined, starting on 06/01/2025.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States and possess a valid state licensure.
