Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Job Responsibilities:

• Administer intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics during surgical and medical procedures.
• Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and document findings accurately.
• Collaborate with the anesthesiologist to establish anesthetic management plans.
• Manage anesthesia care throughout preoperative, perioperative, and immediate postoperative phases.
• Document all care thoroughly and accurately.
• Provide airway management services in emergent situations.
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Delegate tasks to assistive personnel and precept new staff and students as needed.
• Engage in professional development activities and community engagements.
• Promote a healthy work environment through effective communication and collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Board Certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
• Active Michigan nursing and specialty licenses.
• Minimum of 2 years of CRNA work experience (excluding RN or training experience).
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications, or willingness to obtain.
• Clean malpractice and license history.
• Effective interpersonal skills and commitment to patient outcomes.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certified by AANA (required).
• Active MI licenses - Nursing and Specialty License (required).
• Up-to-date COVID and Flu vaccinations (or willing to obtain).
• DEA and CSR/CDS must be obtained prior to start (no exemptions).
