Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Contract Length: 13 weeks to start with option to extend; long-term locums available.

Shift Options:
Provider can choose either:

• 7:00 am - 5:30 pm, Monday-Thursday (4x10)
• 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday (5x8)

Work Details:

• Support Staff: 4 anesthesiologists per day, 15-18 CRNAs per day
• Coverage Needed: 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days
• Patients per Day: Average volume is 40 anesthesia cases/day (including endoscopy)
• Patient Population/Age: 18 and up (Peds helpful but not required)
• Department Description: Anesthesia
• EMR: Cerner
• Hospital Bed Size: 272
• Special Procedures: Opportunity for regional blocks and epidurals
• Skills Required: General, ENT (with peds), FYN, OB, Plastics, Endo, Urology, Ortho, Vascular, Cardiothoracic, and neuro. Vascular, neuro, and thoracic preferred. Trauma and cardiac cases covered by staff CRNA.

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Required
• License: Must already be PA licensed
• DEA: Yes
• CSR: Yes
• Certifications Preferred:
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
• Minimum Experience: 2-3 years

Credentialing Timeframe:

• 3-4 weeks for temporary credentials (valid for 120 days)
• MSO will complete full privileges within that time (valid for 2 years)
• Note: PA requires federal fingerprints, which may add additional time if not done in the last 5 years.
