Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and effective anesthesia care for a diverse case mix, including orthopedic, obstetric, urological, neurological, gastrointestinal, cardiothoracic, catheterization lab, and general surgeries.
- Collaborate closely with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and anesthesia technicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments, develop anesthesia care plans, and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures.
- Manage patient recovery and provide post-anesthesia care, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
- Participate in quality assurance, clinical audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
Qualifications:
- Current, valid certification as a CRNA (AANA Certification).
- State licensure in Alabama or eligible for licensure.
- Proven experience providing anesthesia in a hospital setting.
- Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and ability to work effectively within a team.
Practice Highlights:
- Hospital-employed position at a 420-bed regional referral center, known for innovative stroke care.
- Practice at a single, convenient location with no travel requirements.
- Schedule flexibility options: Monday-Friday, 6/6, or 7/7 shifts.
- Dedicated anesthesia technicians available to assist with room turnover, ensuring efficiency.
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system integration using Epic.
- Supportive administrative and clinical leadership fostering professional development and collaboration.
