Company Information
Gastroenterology Associates of Gainesville is a premier private GI practice providing professional digestive care to the Northeast Georgia region. The practice is comprised of a dedicated collaborative team of Board-Certified Gastroenterologists and Advanced Practice Providers specialized in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of gastrointestinal illness and disease. Gastroenterology Associates of Gainesville was the first of its kind in Northeast Georgia. The practice provides the region with adult consultative and procedural services dedicated solely to the spectrum of gastroenterology and hepatology.
Company History
The Practice was started in 1981 through the hard work, vision, compassion and dedication of founding partner Dr. Frederick Stephen Moore. Dr. Moore opened the practice as a sole provider offering dedicated gastrointestinal care after recognizing the need throughout the region for this type of specialized service. Dr. Moore worked tirelessly providing consult, procedural and inpatient care until deciding to grow the practice and bring on founding partner Dr. Charles E. Allen. Together the founding partners worked as a collaborative team to provide the region with educational services and were dedicated to teaching individuals and their medical communities about the importance of screening colonoscopies and the effects of untreated gastrointestinal illness and disease can have on an individual’s way of life.
Dr. Scott A. Clark was the third partner to join the founding partners in their mission and services and serves as the current acting President. “Our focus is always on patient care and satisfaction. We understand the sensitive nature of gastrointestinal illnesses and strive to provide our services in a compassionate environment,” says Dr. Scott Clark. “With a sole focus on digestive health care, our mission is to spread awareness about colorectal cancer,” adds Dr. Clark. With the foundation the had been built and trust established with the region the practice continues to grow and is comprised of partners Dr. Vinni Reddy, Dr. John L. Kalarickal, Dr. Namita Pareek, Dr. Neeraj Sharma, Dr. Ankur Sheth, Dr. Andrew Lake, Dr. Evan Brady and Dr. Danielle Shelnut who all share the founder’s vision of providing cutting edge, ever evolving services and education to the Northeast Georgia region.
With the addition of its partners, Gastroenterology Associates of Gainesville has been able expand to provide the region every expanding gastrointestinal services that include access to two outpatient Ambulatory Surgical Centers, two Infusion Centers dedicated solely to providing Infusion services for gastrointestinal disease, access to Fibroscan Ultrasound technology, clinic locations throughout Northeast Georgia, and affiliations with Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Habersham Medical Center, and Mountain Lakes Medical Center.
Dr. Moore and Dr. Allen have since retired from practicing medicine but continue to see their vision of specialized, dedicated, compassionate gastrointestinal care provided to the Northeast Georgia region.
