Med Plus has a comprehensive method of getting its providers oriented to performing the exams it provides to SSA and is one of the few disability evaluation companies that uses a unique and 21st-century method of producing reports using an electronic medical record that is tailored for these types of exams and does not rely on 20th-century transcription technology. To our knowledge, it is the only one of its kind that is in daily use in the USA and makes it easy for our providers to understand what content and format are best for our reports. Our EMR includes 3 products, an internal medicine, orthopedic and a pediatric EMR and has been in continuous use for over 10 years. It is cloud-based, fully HIPAA compliant and does not require any program downloads to local computers. Several other companies that also do these exams have adopted our EMR which is available to other companies and individuals who want to use it. Most of our physicians have not done these types of exams before so we provide a thorough orientation package to get the physician ready to perform these exams. Between the use of our EMR and our orientation process, physicians are fully prepared to do the exams when they start work. Our scheduling is very flexible and can vary month to month depending on physician availability. You will never have to do anything off-site and will never have to testify anywhere Once you complete your report on the day of the exam, you are finished with the exam. We provide office space, staff to assist you, malpractice insurance, and the electronic medical record. We also do not perform any treatment or follow up and individuals are only seen once. You will never have any contact or interaction with state or federal staff and will only communicate with staff from our company. We have a reputation with the state offices for providing a complete and timely report.

Company Information

Med Plus is a private S corporation that has been providing the Social Security Administration and state Disability Determination Offices with exams and testing for persons applying for SSA disability benefits for over 20 years. We operate virtually in over 60 sites across 10 states. Our company is physician-led and our president and CEO has personally performed over 60,000 exams in 4 different states. We work with MDs and DOS and have state managers whose responsibility is to assist physicians with enrolling in our program and who will work with them on scheduling the dates and locations they will work. Most of our work is paperless and can be done over any windows based or IOS device connected to the internet.

Company History

Med Plus started out 25 years ago with one physician at one site and now provides services from CT to FL and NC to LA including NM with more than 60 physicians and up to 150 staff. We have never had a malpractice lawsuit but do have $1m/$3m coverage for our providers. Many states where we work are places where we have had a presence for 10-20 years. Our reports are complete and can be done online while the physician is still with the patient so their work can be finished by the time the clinic session is over.
