Company History
START Treatment and Recovery Centers starting treating patients in a single building at 937 Fulton Street in Fort Greene, Brooklyn and is now one of New York State's largest non-hospital providers of health and human services. For more than 40 years, START has offered treatment to over 40,000 self-referred patients throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan
Today,~we continue to~offer~holistic care when treating those with an opioid addiction and co-occurring mental illness to transition ~ our patients toward healthy and productive lives. In 1985, START added primary medical care including HIV/AIDS services and Hepatitis C and, in 2011, was contracted by the state to provide mental health care for juveniles in one detention facility
