JOB DESCRIPTION:
Medical Center near in Kentucky is seeking a BE/BC General Surgeon to join our team. This position will be bread and butter with scopes. Experience preferred, not required.
Endoprocedure room, multiple OR suites with Olympus 190 Scopes
Shared Call/Light Call - mostly consults
Veteran OR staff is proficient in all areas of surgery
AN Coverage in place

HOSPITAL:
This medical center is an acute care hospital with services including surgery, critical care, radiology, laboratory, cardiopulmonary, physical therapy, and a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency room. Emergency room visits average about 1,000 per month. We are also a clinical training site for a number of colleges and vocational schools.
Operating family medicine clinics in neighboring counties -- two satellite clinics in neighboring counties, as well as four on-campus satellite clinics with specialists in the areas of cardiology, gynecology, urology, oncology, pediatrics, general and vascular surgery and orthopedic and arthroscopic surgery.
COMMUNITY:
This location is only an hour from the city hustle and bustle of Lexington but is still far enough away to enjoy the quiet small town charm. It is centrally located in the hills of the Appalachian Mountains, so there are plenty of outdoor activities readily available.
