Pediatric Hospitalist in Ohio Findlay, Ohio FT Inpatient Overview: A regional community non-profit health system serving a multi-county area in the Northwest region is seeking Pediatric Hospitalists. This opportunity is open to residents, new graduates, and experienced physicians. Role and Responsibilities: Special Care Nursery: Manage Level IIB Special Care Nursery. Consultations: Emergency Department consults and limited outpatient medical consults. Newborn Care: Attendance at high-risk deliveries and inpatient pediatric care. Patient Volume: Approximately 1,000 deliveries/year. Manage infants born at 32 weeks and above, including CPAP, Surfactant, and ventilator care. Average Census: Daily average of 12, including pediatric inpatients, well newborns, and special care. Shifts: Six, 24-hour shifts per 28-day block. Hospitalist Service: Admits patients. Partnerships and Education: Collaborative partnership with a major children's hospital. Access to pediatric specialists, research, and clinical trials. Advanced education and training opportunities.
