Shriners Children’s in Salt Lake City, UT in affiliation with the University of Utah, is recruiting a Medical Director of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery to join its current full-time staff. The successful candidate will have a neuromuscular background and would be expected to manage a broad range of Pediatric Orthopedics patients.

Responsibilities:
· The Medical Director will provide clinical leadership in education, research and management of physicians, practitioners, and hospital scheduling.
· Academic responsibilities at the University of Utah (Academic expectation 0.1 – 0.2 FTE)
· 1-2 days of clinic and 1-2 days of OR/week
· Trauma call at Primary Children’s Hospital, through the University of Utah (expectation 1-3 days/month with significant additional financial compensation)
· Gait Lab responsibilities include Co-Medical Director of Gait Lab
· Educate medical students, residents, and fellows through lectures, workshops, and training sessions.
· Engage in research activities, contribute to advancements in pediatric orthopedics, and publish findings in reputable journals.
· Participate in regional outreach programs, community initiatives, and represent the facility at professional conferences and events.

Qualifications:
· At least eight years post fellowship experience required.
· Preferred national recognition.
· Neuromuscular background required.
· Board Certified MD with residency in pediatric orthopedic surgery required.
· Successful completion of a Fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery
· Must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Utah.
