Pathology Opening in Ohio Dayton OH Full time Opportunity Overview: We are a dynamic and expanding private pathology group, currently the largest in our region. Our team includes 13 pathologists who provide comprehensive services for a leading tertiary care hospital (with over 900 beds and a Level 1 Trauma Center), several regional hospitals, independent specialty labs, and a large outreach clinical laboratory. We are known for our specialized Hematopathology practice, advanced immunohistochemistry department, and our involvement in molecular studies for various cancers. Responsibilities: Handling surgical pathology cases, frozen sections, quick assessments/immediate reads (including CT and US guided biopsies, navigational lung biopsies, EBUS, and EUS). Cytopathology responsibilities include pap smears, non-gyn cytologies, and FNAs. Clinical laboratory duties encompass interpretation of peripheral blood smears, hemoglobin electrophoresis, SPEP, and UPEP. Call Duties: Involvement in frozen sections and general clinical laboratory oversight. Note: Autopsies are not part of the responsibilities. Leadership and Collaboration: The role includes rotating medical directorships, sign-out responsibilities across various locations, and active participation in multispecialty conferences and hospital committees. Requirements: Certification: AP/CP Board Eligible/Board Certified. Licensing: Eligibility or possession of an Ohio license. Citizenship: Open to Permanent Residents or U.S. Citizens.
