Description
Medical Doctor position immediately available in integrated Rehab facility in Camarillo, located in the Southern California area. This Physician will provide professional medical direction, oversight and direct patient care for the facility. Competitive Salary with Malpractice insurance available. No nights, no on-call and no weekends.
The MD needs to:
Be licensed to practice in the state of CA
Present their record of practice (i.e. insurance history or claims of malpractice)
Be open minded to physical medicine, rehab and non-drug therapies
Present Medicare # (UPIN) or information needed to acquire
Desirable (but not necessary):
Working knowledge of Physical Therapy or Exercise Rehab
Ability to do Trigger Point injections (IM not sub-Q or IV)
Ability to do SI Joint injections
Ability to Do Suparts injections
Familiarity with reading and reviewing the following:
Nerve Conduction Velocities (NCV)
Somato-Sensory Evoked Potential (SSEP)
Needle EMG
Vascular Studies
Computerized ROM and Muscle testing studies
Spirometry
Familiarity with Nutrition
Role of the MD in the Integrated Setting
The MD is the portal of entry for all patients and all services. They are responsible for providing a variety of professional medical services including administering physical examinations, ordering films, reviewing diagnostic tests, and performing injections, if medically necessary.
Participate in treatment team meeting where individual health plans are devised and reviewed with input from allied professionals (i.e. DC, athletic trainers, RN, etc.). The MD is to write the order for the patient treatment. This plan should be the most efficacious, within 3rd party compliance guidelines, while utilizing the service centers available to the patient in the clinic.
