Gastroenterologist Opportunity in Utah – Outpatient/Inpatient Coverage with Attractive Schedule
Position: Gastroenterologist
Location: Utah
Schedule:
- Week 1: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
- Week 2: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM (with one-day travel to Cedar City)
- On-Call: Rotational, with a 1/5 call ratio. Duties during on-call include ER/Inpatient rounding and procedures (modified schedule from Monday to Monday)
Job Overview: We are actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Gastroenterologist to join our growing team in the picturesque state of Utah. This unique opportunity offers a blend of outpatient and inpatient coverage, ensuring a diverse and engaging work experience. The role involves an average of 18 procedures per day, with responsibilities including screening colonoscopies and other standard diagnostic GI procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform an average of 18 procedures daily, focusing on quality patient care and accurate diagnosis.
- Provide coverage for both outpatient and inpatient settings, with a balanced workload.
- Participate in on-call duties with a manageable call ratio of 1/5, offering support for ER and inpatient services.
- Travel once during the second week to Cedar City, ensuring broader patient care and service.
Team Structure: You will be joining a robust team consisting of:
- 1 experienced MD and 1 open position for an MD
- 3 Physician Assistants (PAs)
- 6 Patient Service Representatives/Schedulers
- 5 Medical Assistants
- 1 RN
Qualifications:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Valid medical license in the state of Utah or eligibility for licensure (will help with license)
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
