Arc Health is actively seeking a ABEM certified Emergency Medicine Physician to provide emergency medicine care at an IHS facility in Polacca, AZ as soon as credentialed.


Nestled in the heart of Polacca, AZ, a vibrant rural tribal community steeped in the rich traditions of the Navajo and Hopi tribes. With approximately 13,500 annual patient visits, the facility is committed to providing exceptional healthcare services to every member of the community. The emergency room operates 24-hours a day and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) responders are available at all times.
The service unit is located 150 miles from the Grand Canyon National Park, with excellent opportunities for photography and outdoor recreation.

Job Responsibilities

Staff the Emergency Department
Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
Perform comprehensive examinations for adults and children
Participate in quality improvement/patient safety projects
Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care

Qualifications

Committed to rural, Tribal, and underserved healthcare
Compassionate, mission-driven social medicine practitioners
Comfortable working 5-7 shifts a month; preferably nights
Board-certified in EM; or Board eligible in EM
ATLS, ACLS, BLS, PALS
