Dignity Health Medical Group is seeking a full-time Cardiologist to join our established and growing employed practice in Prescott, AZ. Under direction from the clinical chairman, provides patient care in both the inpatient and outpatient setting by diagnosing and treating disorders and diseases of the cardiovascular system, perform patient exams and order or conduct diagnostic testing, develop ongoing treatment and disease-management plans. This role will also prescribe medicine and coordinate referrals as necessary, conduct early-detection screenings and maintain accurate patient records and charts. Effective communication with patients, physicians, staff, and administration is crucial.

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate:
- Has excellent clinical and leadership skills.
- Is dedicated to delivering high quality, compassionate care and access to the patients in the Prescott area.
- Is a member of good standing of the medical staff of the hospital.
- Is duty licensed to practice medicine in the state of Arizona.
- Is board certified or board eligible in their specialty.
- Demonstrates a work history of positive collegial relations with colleagues, support staff, hospital-based providers, administrators and patients.
- Demonstrates advanced competency in their specialty.
Position details:
- Patient population - 65+
- Monday-Friday Clinic 8 hours per day
- Office patients:11-12 unless on call, reduced to 7-8
- Invasive/ Non-Invasive procedures
- Outpatient clinic, on call inpatient consults, study reading for both inpatient and outpatient
- Call: Usually 1 weekday and every 5th weekend at this time
Qualifications
- Completion of a residency in medicine and a fellowship in cardiology, in ACGME approved programs
- Current BC/BE in Cardiology (American Board of Internal Medicine/Cardiology)
- Valid state medical license as MD or DO
- Valid DEA certificate
- New grad or experienced cardiologist
Pay Range
$202.33 - $297.72 /hour
