Cardiology Position - Interventional Cardiologist

Position Overview:

  • Join a dynamic cardiology team consisting of 7 cardiologists, including 6 interventional specialists.
  • Engage in a balanced weekly schedule split between clinical duties (2.5 days in clinic, including satellite clinics) and cath lab work (2.5 days).

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Manage a typical half-day patient volume of 15 in the clinic.
  • Conduct a broad range of procedures including cardiac diagnostics and interventions, peripheral diagnostics and interventions, pacer/ICD implants, TAVR, and EVAR.
  • Utilize 3-4 dedicated exam rooms per half-day session in a clinic with 18 total exam rooms.

Facility and Technology:

  • Operate within a well-equipped facility featuring three cath labs.
  • Access to comprehensive diagnostic services including nuclear and regular stress tests, EKG, and various types of ultrasounds.
  • Current EMR system is IMED, transitioning to Epic systemwide on October 1, 2024.

Support Structure:

  • Each cardiologist is supported by dedicated clinical staff.
  • Collaborative environment with two full-time APPs in the clinic and three full-time APPs rotating between hospital and clinic services.

Schedule and Call:

  • Standard work schedule: Monday to Friday with a half-day off per week.
  • Call schedule: Weekdays 1:6 (with one non-invasive cardiologist, creating a 1:5 interventional backup); Holidays and weekends 1:7.
