A 100-bed level 3 hospital is seeking a cardiothoracic surgery physician assistant for locum tenens coverage.

There will be an OR, clinic on Wednesday afternoons for follow-up patients, and daily rounding on call in CVICU/stepdown. Call will be 7 nights/week (two Friday evenings thru Monday at 7am.) The required procedures include endoscopic vein harvest, chest tube insertion, and removal, pacer wire removal, arterial line placement (radial and femoral), central line placement, pacemaker management, management of ventilated patients, no vascular, thoracic, TAVRS, ECMO, heart transplants or VAD. RAH is required. The EMR system is All Scripts and the EVH system is Maquet/Gettinge. The credentialing timeframe is 6-8 weeks. A DEA will be required.
