Sutter Health-affiliated Memorial Medical Center is sponsoring recruitment of a BE/BC Critical Care certified Trauma Surgeon to join Modesto Surgical Associates, a local private practice group. This position will fill the need for a dedicated traumatologist, and will eventually oversee the trauma surgery program. Duties will include Acute Care Surgery and Acute General Surgery. Experience is a plus, but not required. The other surgeons in the group are ready to support the incoming candidate. The compensation package is competitive and an income guarantee will be given.

Shifts are 24 hours for 4 days on and 2 days off. Responsibilities will include:
* Responding to trauma activations
* Consulting and operating on acute general surgeries
* Managing critical care patients
* Seeing patients in the trauma clinic
* Documentation on Epic (EMR)
* Working collaboratively with the rest of the trauma team, including advanced practice clinicians
