Looking for a general surgeon looking to practice in southern IL. This is an employed position with a salary around 350K plus RVU bonus, student loan repayment and 27 days of vacation. Call will be 1:2 when one surgeon retires but it is rare to get called in. The ED stabilizes until the next day when possible. The two surgeons there cover each other during vacations sometimes for a month at a time and it doesn't bother them because call backs are so light.
