Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
A solo imaging center east of the Phoenix area is in need of a women's imager for coverage Monday to Friday 5/1/17 to 6/2/17 and possibly onward until a permanent hire has been made. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm,no call, and no weekends. The radiologist must be ABR board certified, MQSA certified, and have significant women's imaging experience. The radiologist will be reading an average of 80 studies per day including digital mammograms, breast ultrasounds, and DEXA. 80% of the mammograms are diagnostic and 20% are screenings. The radiologist will also be performing breast biopsies, about 1 biopsy a day, the site does both ultrasound guided and stereotactic breast biopsies. The PACS is Nova and the voice recognition is Powerscribe.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
