Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
A solo hospital site in central Pennsylvania is in need of radiologist coverage for the dates of 5/15- 5/19/17 and 7/24 to 7/28/17. There could be future coverage dates ongoing as vacations weeks are identified moving forward. The schedule is Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30 PM, no call and no weekends. The ABR certified diagnostic radiologist will be reading an average of 50 mix modality studies per day consisting of cat scan, MR, ultrasounds, and mammograms. The radiologist must have a PA license, DEA, and be MQSA certified. In addition, the radiologist must be able to perform mammogram localizations, ultrasound guided biopsies are preferred, but not required. The site uses a Viztek Opalrad PACS and Dragon medical voice recognition. There is a dedicated Hologic Workstation for 2D mammography.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
