Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
A hospital site in south eastern New Mexico is in need of 3 weeks of vacation coverage from Nov. 2-6, Nov. 9-13 and Dec. 7-11 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. The diagnostic radiologist will be reading cat scan, ultrasound, plain film, nuclear medicine, and MR. In addition, he or she will need to perform light interventional work consisting of PIC lines, peripheral vascular ultrasound, stereotactic breast biopsy, lung biopsies, liver biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, needle locs, and abscess drainage.
Radiology(locum tenens) is a medical specialty that diagnoses and treats internal diseases (such as tumors) with the use of imaging technologies including X-ray radiography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. The role of the radiologist includes developing images and interpreting the data. Interventional radiologists utilize these imaging techniques to perform medical procedures, typically minimally invasive.
