Radiologist - (Radiology) Locum Tenens
A hospital in southern California is in need of a ABR certified diagnostic radiologist to help with ongoing vacation coverage. The schedule will be Monday to Friday either 7am to 4pm shift or 10am to 7pm shift and Saturday and Sunday on site coverage from 8am to 12pm, no call. This is a very busy hospital setting and the radiologist will be reading an average of 110-140 studies per day on average consisting of plain film, cat scans, ultrasounds, MR, and mammography. Very heavy on cat scan and plain films. There is day hawk support. This radiologist will also need to perform light interventional work 1-3 procedures per day. Typical procedures are paracentesis, thoracentesis, and PICC lines. The radiologist will need a CA license, CA x-ray license, DEA, and MQSA certifications. The PACS and voice recognition systems are Cerner. Coverage needed is approximately 16 weeks per year.
