Interventional Radiologist - Physician - (Radiology - VIR - Inter Rad) Locum Tenens
A hospital in Chicago is in need of an ABR board certified, and fellowship trained interventional radiologist to work every week ongoing starting June / July 2017. The position is Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, no call, and no weekends. The hospital is looking to grow their interventional practice, so the position is 10% interventional and 90% diagnostic as it stands today. As the practice grows the amount of interventional work should grow over time. The average day currently is performing 1-2 bread and butter interventional procedures and reading 100 diagnostic studies per day consisting of a mix of plain film, cat scans, ultrasounds, MR, and nuclear medicine. This is a team environment and mammography is a plus, but not required. The PACS is RamSoft and the voice recognition is Powerscribe 360. The radiologist must have an IL license and a DEA.
An interventional radiologist(locum tenens) is a physician who utilizes minimally invasive, image-guided procedures and techniques to diagnose and treat patients for various conditions.
