Psychiatrist Needed for North Shore Massachusetts
Psychiatrist needed to work in culturally diverse expanding community health center providing psycho-pharmacology services to individuals who struggle with addictions. Addiction psychiatrist will be involved in direct patient care including psychiatric evaluations, consultations, and treatment planning through integrated team approach. Psychiatrist will also participate in collaboration and consultation with primary care providers and other behavioral health clinicians outside of the complex addiction team.
Experienced with out-patient and after-care of mental health patients; specific knowledge of prescribing psychiatric medications and their possible side effects alone, and with other medications; knowledge of DSM V manual for classification of mental disorders and dual diagnosis experience. Ability to work collaboratively within a fast paced multidisciplinary practice and demonstrated sensitivity and experience working with underserved multicultural populations in a community setting. Bilingual and/or bicultural abilities are highly desirable.
