Psychiatry in Hawaii starting 3/30/17 and ongoing.
Come to Paradise! Come to Hawaii!
Need is primarily for adult inpatient work, plus some outpatient work as needed.
Hours: 7:45am to 4:30pm M-F.
No call.
Consults on the floor and in the Emergency room as required.
RE: inpatient, the unit is a 11 bed adult unit with an average daily census of 7 to 8 patients, and an average length of stay of 5.5 to 6 days.
Physicals for H&Ps for new admissions are done by the LT Psychiatrist.
Hospital credentialing takes approximately 4 weeks or so, but may be expedited based on the urgency of the current need.
When doing outpatient work as needed, additional job duties are as follows:
Monitor patient care, take patients' metabolic indicators such as blood pressure, weight, waist line / girth, etc.
And the LT Psychiatrist will give shots / Intramuscular (IM) injections to patients.
Some patients are on a regular schedule for the IM shot.
On occasion, the Locum Tenens Doctor may do eligibility assessments for patients who have not been evaluated yet for services.
