Summary:
PM&R Physician to perform EMG's for a large pain group. Board certification in PMR and in Electro diagnostic Medicine preferred. Looking for a motivated producer able to handle a large volume on a daily The provider will be a physician with specialty in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) with interest in Neurorehabilitation and skills in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions that result in spine and musculoskeletal pain. Physician may also be required to participate in provision of Electrodiagnostic services (EMG), Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbosacral spinal injections, and Rehabilitation consults. Patient population requiring services may include patients primarily referred to our outpatient clinics for treatment of musculoskeletal and spine disorders. Population may also include those with neurological disorders, amputations, chronic pain, and other medical conditions requiring rehabilitation.

• American Board of Electro diagnostic Medicine
Position Responsibilities:
• Examine patients to obtain information about their physical condition.
• Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
• Perform EMG diagnostics and accurately relaying results for patients.
• Make diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of patients.
• Obtain, compile and record patient medical data, including health history, progress notes and results of physical examination
• Order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, and laboratory tests.
• Prescribe therapy or medication
• Set plan of care for patients
• Perform therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, trigger point injections, and infection management.
• Instruct and counsel patients about prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal findings, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
• Perform appropriate surgery or complicated medical procedures.
• Address messages regarding patient problems, and/or med refills. Dictate such orders to Medical Assistant
• Complete procedure notes or dictations
• Consent approvals
• Strength exams and/or medication refills for procedure patients
