Pediatric Emergency Physician - (EM Peds, ER Peds) Locum Tenens
" PEM boarded with a PEM fellowship or ABEM with a PEM fellowship.
" 24,832 annual volume
" Trauma level designation is 2
" 16 Pediatric beds
" ACLS, PALS
" Physician shift times - 7a-4p, 3p-12a (they supplement with Pediatricians with ED Experience overnight)
" Estimated shifts available per month- 6-8
" Admissions required
" EPIC EMR
Specializing in the diagnosis and care of children and teenagers who are acutely ill, suffering from life-threatening conditions or injured, pediatric emergency physicians(locum tenens) are required to treat a plethora of ailments. These physicians must be able to deal with medical emergencies, often treating patients who have incurred trauma or are suffering from exotic illnesses. As with any pediatric specialty, easing anxiety and pain is paramount in pediatric emergency care.
