The Staff Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician
provides comprehensive primary health care including health promotion and disease prevention activities for CHS female patients. Responsible for the provision of quality health care for acute and chronic medical problems; follows hospitalized patients as appropriate, to assure continuity of care. This position includes the following:
• 4 day work week
• Post call day off
• Call at the hospital
• Shared call with partner agencies
The incumbent in this position must:
• Graduate of an Accredited Medical School with degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD)
• Completion of Accredited Board Certification in Specialty
• Possess valid State of Connecticut licensure
• Possession of Federal DEA number without restriction
• Maintain professional competence by completing appropriate specialty requirements of CME.
• Have at least three years’ experience providing care in an OB/Gyn Practice
• The ability to fulfill HRSA and health center productivity standards.
• The ability to provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population in a collaborative environment
• Have a record of providing high quality, comprehensive, clinical care to patients according to established standards, protocols and practices.
• The ability to communicate effectively with patients, peers and other stakeholders.
