First Physicians Group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is looking to add a BC/BE Internal Medicine physician to a well-established practice. The new physician will be replacing a retiring physician in 2017. The group currently has 6 internal medicine physicians.
Highlights of the position:
Outpatient only. Group uses the Medical Hospitalist group to cover inpatients
Each physician sees approximately 20-25 patients a day in the office
Patient population is 18 and over with 70% age 65 or older
No hospital call. Nights and weekends are rotated equally 1:6
Stable group in existence for 20 years. Physicians have been there 5-20 years.
Board Certified preferred but we will consider Board Eligible if within 5 years of completing their training.
Employment contracts include a generous 2 year guaranteed salary with bonus potential along with excellent comprehensive benefits - health, dental, vision, disability, life, 403B, CME, PTO, etc. After two years (or potentially one year), physician will move onto a pay model and receive a 5 year contract. Relocation and other perks are also available. Physicians have sovereign immunity.
