JOB DESCRIPTION:

Basic Functions & Responsibilities:

- Excellent opportunity to join the busy Chicago Infectious Disease Physicians Group, practicing at several locations in the heart of Chicago downtown.

-Practice locations are eligible of JI visa waiver requirements.

- Applicant must be Board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease specialty and licensure to practice as a physician in the State of Illinois.

- The physician will be responsible for providing in-patient Infectious Disease consultation as well as ambulatory care services within the scope of adult infectious disease specialty including managing patients with general infectious diseases, HIV, HCV, STDs and infected wounds etc on day-to-day bases.

- Employer will cover the cost of professional licensing, credentialing and hospital staff membership dues.

- Physician will be provided cell phone and laptop by the employer.

-Physician shall have one week per year for CME and three weeks per year as personal paid vacation time.

- Physician will be involved in teaching, supervising, and mentoring medical students and residents, rotating through the Infectious Disease service at the teaching hospitals.

- Promoting, educating and practicing efficient, high quality, and compassionate health care to the patients residing in inner city health care shortage areas.

- Playing a leadership role in hospital Quality Improvement and Infection Control departments..
