VISTA is looking for a board certified or board eligible Internal Medicine Hospitalist provider with a minimum 6-month commitment.
Location: Hawaii
Training: Internal medicine/Will accept new residents
Duration: Ongoing while hiring
Board requirement: Board certified or Board prepared
Schedule: 7 on 7 off
Shifts: Days and nights/Swings
Shift Responsibility: Rounding and admits
Procedures: No
Vents: No
ICU: Closed
Codes: Does not attend
Census: 10 to 15
Backup: Yes
EMR: EPIC Systems
Trauma designation: Undesignated
License requirement: Able to present with pending license
Privileges: 90 days
Experienced and capable Hospitalists at our main campus. They need to have the following traits:
1. Â Able to work in a fast-paced environment with medically complex patients.
2. Â Experience in academics in teaching residents preferred.
3. Â Able to adapt to a new environment quickly.
4. Â High initiative, excellent communication habits.
5. Â Love patient care.
6. Â Hawaii MD license preferred so we can do start up quickly: if your team can review your database and go after these individuals first.
7. Â Average patient care load: 15-17 patients/12-hour shift (nights). We have swing shift MDs who are focused on admissions.
8. Â Client prefers 4-6 month type of assignments to provide stability within the team.
9. Â Client would like the team to keep in mind the need for permanent candidates as well.
