Family Practitioner needed on Wake Island (remote island in south Pacific)
This is a locum tenens assignment. Need Provider to deploy on JUNE 24th for 3-4 months.
MUST have active Hawaii license, current DEA, ACLS. Must be able to pass a “fit for duty” physical. Must have a clean background.
Will need to have 3 professional reference and there will be a series of 3 interviews with the client (videoconference).
Will be working in an outpatient clinic on the island. Clinic is open Mon-Fri and then will be on call on nights and weekend. Very rare that you would be called back in. Very low volume.
Must be able to see all ages. Coughs, colds, possibly some suturing or casting. Anything major will call for Medevac.
Patient on the island are a mix of residents, government and military. Will mainly see adults. Total population on the island is 100 people.
Will travel on military aircraft. Private house provided. Meals will be provided.
