Join a prestigious and world-renown university as the Assistant Chief of Athletic Medicine and Head Team Physician for all varsity sports. This full-time, permanent, university-employed position oversees the provision of care to approximately 900 undergraduate students participating in varsity sports.
Practice Overview:
* Diagnose, treat and help prevent injuries that occur during varsity sports
* Lead care team consisting of nurses, dieticians, sports orthopedics and physical therapists
* Collaborate with Deans, Heads of College, Athletics, Orthopedics and other areas of the University
* Help establish standards for medical care and assist in the development quality assurance measures
* Work closely with coaches and trainers to provide medical coverage at athletic events including football, soccer, ice hockey and lacrosse
* Priority placed on superior interpersonal/communication skills, collegiality and ability to function as part of an interdisciplinary team
