We are currently seeking a B/E or B/C Cardiologist for our hospital employed position in New Bern, NC. This is a brand new practice to join our extensive practice of 2 EP Cardiologist, 5 Interventional Cardiologist, 6 general cardiologist and 3 Cardio-thoracic Surgeons. Currently the new practice has no call until we get 5 Physicians hired, currently we have 1. Our hospitalists that are part of our group, take care of our inpatients and we have an intensivist program that takes care of the ICU. Our hospitalist are very good and only consult our Cardiologist when necessary. Our clinics are very well equipped and we have an advanced EMR system. In our larger clinics we have robust ancillary services such as 64 slice CT, an array of ultrasounds, multiple nuclear medicine cameras, digital 3D mammography, digital radiology, bone density, high complexity laboratory, neurology lab, sleep center, endoscopy suite and a chemo infusion suite all within our facilities. We believe in having only the best, state of the art technology and equipment at our providers fingertips.
Our salary and benefits package is exceptional and will be more than competitive with a minimum 2 year guarantee with bonus potential. We have the full complement of benefits, health and dental for the family, long term and short disability, life insurance, 403B retirement plan, 457 retirement plan, profit-pension retirement plan, malpractice insurance (retroactive & tail), 30 days of vacation, 10 days CME, $7,000 for CME expenses and dues/subscriptions, and more. We are WRVU based productivity with very obtainable bonus incentives. Our salary and production model is based off of MGMA data that is updated annually. We have a 2 year salary guarantee before production comes into play. Our physicians are very satisfied with this model. We are a firm believer in providing our physicians with a great work life balance!

We are in the coastal region of North Carolina at the confluence of the Neuse and Trent Rivers, approximately 35 miles from the Atlantic Ocean, (Cape Lookout is the southernmost tip of the Outer Banks, Atlantic Beach and Emerald Isle). New Bern has become a very popular retirement community with many golf course and waterfront communities. Water activities such as boating, sailing, skiing, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, etc. and anything else outdoor related, are very popular here. We have excellent choices for schools here in New Bern, both public and private.
