The UTRGV School of Medicine, Department of Surgery, is seeking a qualified Urology Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join a growing Surgery Department and practice. Successful candidates will have demonstrated excellence in clinical care, teaching and scholarly activity. Responsibilities will include clinical care for urology patients, teaching of medical students and residents. A track record of academic productivity is required, as the candidate will be actively involved in the research and academic mission of the department. Academic rank will be awarded commensurate with experience and credentials. This position will be based in Harlingen, Texas, just 35 minutes from the beach!
Applicants must be an MD, DO or foreign equivalent, be BC/BE in Urology Surgery, possess or be eligible for a Texas medical license, qualified to hold a faculty appointment in the Department of Surgery UTRGV School of Medicine and appropriate hospital staff appointments. Demonstration of strong leadership skills and commitment to the education of residents and medical students is essential. Women, veterans, and minorities are encourage to apply.
