Sampson Regional is currently seeking a full-time board certified (Family Medicine preferred) physician to join its Urgent Care. The Urgent Care is located within a half mile of the main hospital and ER. With an average daily volume of 25-35, the walk-in clinic treats patients of all ages for a range of acute conditions. We seek a skilled and experienced physician who is comfortable with being the solo provider and who maintains a strong focus and commitment to providing outstanding and compassionate care to all patients.We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package:

Hours of operation are Monday thru Friday 8A – 5P, Sat 10A – 5P and Sun 12P – 5P.

Required Qualifications:
• NC DEA license
• Board certification
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Treat a wide range of medical issues from infancy through adulthood
• Order and interpret basic diagnostic studies, including lab work
• Order and perform routine procedures such as injections, immunizations, sutures
• Work injuries in Sampson County as well as follow-ups with patients
• Drug Screens (Hired physician not expected to perform MRO)
• Onsite X-Ray, perform working readings with radiologist looking behind
• Comfort level with removing foreign objects from body parts
• Coordinate care with other medical professionals
• Assist with training, orientation and clinical support for new providers, advance practice providers and clinical support staff
Preferred candidates will have experience in the following:
• Occupational Medicine
• Acute Care
• Treating both pediatric and adult patients
• E-MDs EMR
