The history and culture of Boston are just minutes away with easy train commute. Boston, one of the oldest cities in America, evokes a distinct European feel, which is evident in the city's culture. The city's role in the American Revolution has led to the nickname, the "Cradle of Liberty." Once considered ultra-conservative, Boston has developed a progressive culture and attitude. It has become one of the most exciting places in New England, with excellent culinary hot spots and an abundance of attractions and sights. Historical buildings, parks and cemeteries are national landmarks, and the city boasts the birthplaces of many famous patriots, presidents and politicians.

The city's architectural treasures include lovely brownstones and cobblestone streets, and gas-lamps light the way in many neighborhoods. The area's many colleges and universities make Boston an international center of higher education and medicine, and the city is considered highly innovative for a variety of reasons. While some may say that no city stacks up to the likes of New York and London when it comes to the arts and entertainment scene, Boston manages to hold its own in this area.

There's a museum for practically every interest, from the renowned Museum of Fine Arts (MFA), where you can routinely find impressive special exhibits, to the wonderfully fun, yet educational, Museum of Science (a favorite among local schools for field trips). There are museums to satisfy history buffs such as the National Heritage Museum, places to brings the kids (Children's Museum), as well as a number of well-known art museums, such as the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and the Harvard University Art Museums. Don't forget to stop by the JFK Library and Museum to get a glimpse into the life of one of America's most beloved presidents.
