Optum is looking for a full-time Urgent Care Physician to join our team in Pasadena, CA. The clinicians we seek are those who practice medicine with a focus on patient care, not volume.

Just a 20-minute drive to downtown Los Angeles, Pasadena and its surrounding areas have much to offer in terms of education, recreational activities, and culinary diversity, without the typical hustle & bustle of a large metropolitan city. Choose to live in Arcadia, for example, and you'll find yourself both at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains and inside the perimeter of a nationally renowned school district! Alternatively, just live where you work and take advantage of weeknight strolls through beautiful Colorado Boulevard or weekend drives to The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens right next door, in San Marino.

Position Details

• Join our Urgent Care team in Pasadena, CA
• Clinic Hours: 8 am – 8 pm (currently)
• Three 11-hour shifts/week (1.0 FTE)
• One weekend day/week
• 2 patients/hour (currently)
• 5-6 providers on-site every day

25 exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms & in-house labs

Requirements

• Unrestricted CA Medical License
• BE/BC in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
• Current CA DEA certificate required prior to start date
• Experience with suturing
• ACLS, BLS & PALS

Preferences

• Urgent care / emergency medicine experience
