WMCHealth's Division of Trauma is seeking a Section Chief to join our busy Level II Trauma Center located in Poughkeepsie, New York. MidHudson Regional cares for over 900 Trauma victims annually. The services include; on-site helipad, three dedicated trauma bays, a talented team of Orthopedics, Reconstructive/Aesthetic Surgeons, Neurologist, Neurosurgeons and Emergency Department Physicians. This position will encompass two key network hospitals MidHudson Regional Hosptial and Westchester Medical Center. Westchester Medical Center is a regional Level I Trauma and Burn Center with more than 40,000 emergency room visits per year.


Applicants must be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and/or surgical critical care. Requirements include demonstrated skills in emergency surgery, surgical critical care, trauma and/or burn patient care, and a record of teaching and research experience (health services, translational or basic science research).


Candidate requirements include an M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy, as well as the completion of a surgical residency and a surgical critical care fellowship.
