We are seeking an enthusiastic board certified surgeon who has exceptional clinical and interpersonal skills to join our team as Trauma Medical Director at our Level III trauma center in beautiful East Stroudsburg, PA. Practice Overview:

Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono is a 230 bed Level III Trauma Center located in the heart of the Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania. Currently, the hospital is using a 100% Acute Care Surgery model for emergency department and in-patient surgical consultations.

We are looking for a board certified general surgeon with interest and experience in trauma and acute care surgery who would like to contribute to the clinical, cultural, and professional change that is occurring at LVH-Pocono. This is the ideal opportunity for those who want to leave a lasting impact on a hospital and shape the changing face of healthcare. Bring your clinical expertise, trauma systems experience, and thoughts on how you think healthcare should be delivered 5-10 years from now. This group is comprised of three Attending Surgeons and five Physician Assistants and provides Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, and Acute Care Surgery services for the surrounding communities. Our new attending physician will also have the opportunity to perform elective general surgery including access to a da Vinci robot.

East Stroudsburg, Pa is a location that offers four seasons of full outdoor activities that range from hiking, skiing, hunting, fishing, and whitewater rafting to NASCAR and Indy Car events. Job Qualifications:

  • A network champion for Trauma/Acute Care Surgery and a passion for the clinical work
  • Must be Board Certified by American Board of Surgery or American Osteopathic Board of Surgery
  • A valid PA Medical License or ability to obtain one is required
