Job Description

Located along the Wabash River, Terre Haute is the "capital" of the Wabash Valley. The city is home to several higher education institutions, including Indiana State University, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana. Terre Haute has made a very valiant effort to revitalize its downtown district with festivals, museums, restaurants, shopping, and the addition of multiple hotels in the area.

Details:

  • Locum position
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Respond to all trauma codes, emergency general surgery, and round in the ICU
  • Trauma admission rate is 90% blunt and 8% penetrating
  • Call required

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care
  • Valid Indiana medical license
  • ATLS and PALS certification
  • At least two years of recent trauma or acute care surgery experience required
