Summary

Westchester Medical Center’s Division of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care is seeking fellowship trained general surgeons with a specialization in critical care and trauma surgery to join our busy Level I Trauma Center located in Valhalla, New York. An academic position at the level of Assistant Professor will be from the affiliated New York Medical College and the candidate will be joining a team of 10 surgeons.

Qualifications

Applicants must be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and/or surgical critical care. Requirements include demonstrated skills in emergency surgery, surgical critical care, trauma and/or burn patient care, and a desire for teaching and research (health services, translational or basic science research). The Trauma Surgeon reports directly to the Chief of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery.

Candidate requirements include an M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy, as well as the completion of a surgical residency and a surgical critical care fellowship.
