Job Description

Our client is seeking a Medical Director to join their surgery center in Bakersfield, California. This position is with one of the region's leading teaching institutions. Lead a group of collaborative, highly experienced, and motivated trauma professionals. The primary focus of the Trauma Surgery Medical Director is to provide personalized, compassionate, and high-quality patient care to improve the health and well-being of the community.

Kern County, home of Bakersfield, is just two hours north of Los Angeles. Bakersfield is known for its strong sense of community and is an affordable place to raise a family. Kern County has a lot to offer from the wild beauty of the Sequoia National Forest to Bakersfield’s beautiful riverside downtown.

Details:

• Full-time, permanent position
• Hospital-based
• Level II trauma center
• Two surgeons on at a time – one covering trauma surgery and one covering acute care surgery
• Average nine shifts per month

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Surgical Critical Care
• Eligible for California medical license
• Eligible for unrestricted DEA
